MicroPower Technologies Appoints New Chief Executive Officer

Veteran executive leader Aaron Tankersley assumes top leadership role, brings expertise in strategic management of growth-focused companies
Feb. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO -- MicroPower Technologies, Inc., (http://www.micropower.com) the award-winning provider of enterprise-class wireless surveillance solutions optimized for rapid, cost-effective deployment, today announced that Aaron Tankersley has been named the company’s new president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. Tankersley is responsible for leading and driving the company’s next phase of expansion and growth in new and existing markets.  Jon Siann, the company's founder will continue to serve on the MicroPower board of directors.  

“Aaron is a seasoned executive with impressive leadership experience with driving companies into the next stages of growth,” said Kevin Hell, chairman of the board, MicroPower Technologies. “His keen insight on the global business market and start-up organizations will help us build upon our world-class technologies through industry knowledge and best practices that will highly benefit our customer base. Tankersley contributes more than 12 years of senior leadership expertise and his career has involved working for both private and public entities, including Fortune Global 500 companies such as HSBC. Tankersley recently served as CEO of Pixon Imaging, a developer of software and hardware focused on real-time image processing. Previously, he was president of an operating subsidiary for HSBC where he led a team of 1,000 employees and had direct responsibility for more than $10 billion of assets. Prior to HSBC, Tankersley held the role of principal with The Boston Consulting Group. Tankersley holds an M.B.A. from UCLA, a B.S. from Columbia University and a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College.
