Retail Industry applauds his service on Retail Employees Day

February 5rd, Agra:
VivekPandey, a Raymond retail associatefrom Agra,was recently felicitated as a National Bronze Award Winner (second runner-up) at the TRRAIN Retail Awards for stepping over and above his call of duty to keep up to his commitments towards his customer.

In one of the greatest examples of customer service excellence, Vivek Pandey travelled all the way to Gwalior from Agra to deliver a suit to his customer. A customer, who wanted a tuxedo stitched for his son for his new school induction program, was promised delivery the next day. But due to some protests in the city the next day, the entire market was shut and hence the suit could not be delivered on time. Inspite of the protests and tension around, Vivek managed to have the suit ready just in time and delivered it personally to his customer since the latter had already left for Gwalior.

If it wasn't for Vivek, the customer’s son would never been able to enjoy his most special day in school. The customer was pleasantly surprised by the service offered by Vivek, who even refused to accept his travel and delivery charges saying that he had only kept the promise made to the customer’s son.

Vivek was grateful that he could be of help. At the TRRAIN Retail Awards Ceremony, Vivek was in tears for at being recognized and had just four words to say, "I just did it."

It is this customer service excellence that TRRAIN (Trust for Retailers and Retail Associates of India) applauds every year at the TRRAIN Retail Awards on Dec 12th, which is also instituted as Retail Employees’ Day. The awards were given to 18 employees from all over the country who went out of their way to assist their customers.

An elated Mr. B.S. Nagesh, Founder, TRRAIN said, “To have the support of the retail industry to empower the workforce in this sector is a dream come true.
