Located in the upscale 50th and France shopping district, the full-service spa and salon specializes in hair, nails, waxing, massage, facials and makeup. The salon is known for covering contemporary trends in the beauty and cosmetics worlds through traditional and New Age practices.
“Bella is excited to have Faatemah back where her creative energy as a stylist and personality have been missed, but not forgotten,” said the salon’s co-owners -- Pam Cruz, Jane Lynn and JoLene Morgan-- in a statement. “You can already feel the buzz within the team and clients. It is a great partnership and we are looking forward to a dynamic year with Faatemah back at Bella!”
Faatemah agreed. “I missed the energy of the team and the glitz and glam of Edina. I feel like Beyonce at halftime -- I'm ready to rock!”
Faatemah has enjoyed a 14-year relationship with Cruz, including her seven-year stint as lead stylist/educator at Bella. During her time there, Faatemah won her first NAHA award in the "Fashion Forward" category and was a contestant on Bravo’s “Shear Genius” season 3.
“We have maintained a wonderful friendship over the years and she has been a great mentor throughout my career,” explained Faatemah. “I originally left Bella to develop my personal brand. Pam made it very clear that she would not accept my resignation and that the door would always be open for my return. Now, that my brand as a celebrity stylist has been solidified, it feels good to come home.”
Bella Salon and Spa is located at 5015 Ewing Avenue South in Edina. Beginning Thursday, February 7, Faatemah's hours at the salon will be Thursdays, 10am-3pm; Fridays 10am-5pm; and Saturdays, 8am-3pm. Appointments can be made by calling 612.928.7835.
