By: Toastmasters Dana LaMon to Speak February 23, 2013 Winter Special Education Event features World Champion Speaker Chicago, IL — Toastmasters International is hosting a Winter Special Education Event on Saturday, February 23, 2013 featuring World Champion Speaker Dana LaMon. This full day event will be held at the Holiday Inn- Willowbrook located at 7800 Kingery Hwy. Dana LaMon, a blind retired judge, is an experienced professional speaker. He earned the title of World Champion of Public Speaking from Toastmasters International in 1992 and will provide opening remarks and a keynote address at the event. Recognized as an inspirational and motivational speaker, Dana LaMon shares positive choices and actions to help you rise above circumstances and change the world around you for the better. Drawing from his personal experience of overcoming blindness, Dana motivates audiences to make life meaningful by showcasing individual talents and abilities regardless of limitations. Audiences around the world, including Asia, South Africa, and across the United States have experienced the power of his motivational message. Dana LaMon has been providing professional speaking services since 1991. He’s the author of four books for inspiration and personal development including Making the Moment Meaningful: Creating a Path to Purpose and Fulfillment. He serves corporations, professional organizations, government entities, colleges and universities and religious groups by presenting topics for performance excellence, personal enrichment, and business development. In addition to the keynote address, the Winter Special Education Event offers workshops and breakout sessions in dynamic leadership as well as officer training and a team dynamics workshop. This event is free with an available lunch for $12.60. Seating is limited. All District 30 and District 54 Toastmasters and guests are invited.
