Palm Springs REALTOR® Association Invests In Technology to Benefit Agents, Home Buyers and Sellers

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 5, 2013 - Palm Springs, CA - In the ever-changing landscape we call the Real Estate Market, the Palm Springs Regional Association of REALTORS® (PSRAR) has invested to stay competitive and add value to member agents, buyers, sellers and residents. PSRAR has become the first in the Coachella Valley to offer zipFormMLS-Connect®, a system that integrates online MLS information into online forms software, auto-populating property, brokerage and agent information in order streamline the offer and counteroffer process for all parties, minimize potential errors, and make the process easier for everyone involved. Digital signatures allow agents to have buyers and sellers sign documents no matter their physical location.

“The mobile and paperless experiences are key to helping home buyers or agents in the search and purchase of a home. MLSConnect technology allows home buyers to work online and keep the home purchase process moving as quickly as possible,” says PSRAR CEO Randy Wiemer. This would benefit second home buyers and buyers who may be moving to the Coachella Valley from another area. The 84-year old Association has spent much of the past few months upgrading to newer technologies to position itself for future growth as the Real Estate market in the valley continues to rebound from the recession.

MLSConnect is part of a series of technology upgrades taking place at Palm Springs Regional Association of REALTORS® over the past six months that includes a new mobile-friendly website, a new MLS system that covers the majority of the state, new email communication systems to reach their agents more effectively, electronic sponsorship opportunities for its business members to reach its agent membership and new in-house presentation systems in the conference rooms.

The new mobile-responsive website (PalmSpringsRegionalMLS.com) has direct access for agents and the public to search the MLS for properties for sale from their smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop. The website also includes robust resources to help potential desert area homebuyers and current residents find useful information such as links to local schools and other local resources.

Association President John Burge added, “By investing in these technological features, we’re also investing in the community.  That’s why one of the things we’ve done is upgraded the projection and presentation systems in our training and conference rooms. Valley neighborhood associations, homeowner’s associations, nonprofits and others may need meeting space with technology to hold a professional presentation, seminar or meeting.”  Burge said the group’s goal is to be a hub for the community thereby extending the service its agents provide beyond the sale.  

“Ultimately, we’re here to help the homebuyers and sellers by giving the best tools available to our REALTOR® members,” Wiemer noted.  He also stated that this push to stay on the forefront of technology is an ongoing process, and that more upgrades are in the works for 2013.
