Indiana Regional Ambulance is Responding to the Needs of the Community

Indiana Regional Ambulance (IRA), a family-owned and operated business that provides both ambulance and wheelchair transportation services officially opened for business on January 23, 2013 after being inspected and certified by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security. Its’ staff of experienced and compassionate medical professionals provide timely ambulance and wheelchair transportation services, long-distance transfers, and stand-by coverage at special events.

The company, founded by Greencastle residents, husband and wife Larry & Carol Anderson and their son Tony Anderson, is focused on delivering the highest level of customer service and patient care. "One of the keys to providing the best healthcare service is to provide that care quickly," said Carol L. Anderson, CEO of Indiana Regional Ambulance. "Having an ambulance and wheelchair transport company based in Putnam County will help us do just that”. From their Operation Centers the company can respond to transportation requests from local hospitals and other healthcare facilities in Central and West Central Indiana in an expedient manner.

Larry Anderson, Director of Fleet Operations, oversees IRA’s quality fleet and state-of-the-art equipment which ensures added safety and comfort to its patients and staff.
