Columbia, SC Tax Firm Merges Into Scott and Company LLC

Feb. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Columbia tax firm Lowrance Cooper and Company has merged into fast-growing Scott and Company LLC, one of South Carolina’s fastest-growing CPA and consulting firms, and firm principal Sandy Cooper has been named a member of Scott and Company.

The Devine Street operations of the former Lowrance Cooper firm will be consolidated immediately at Scott and Company’s state-of-the-art offices at 1441 Main Street, Suite 800 in Columbia.  Scott and Company also operates a second office in Greenville, South Carolina.  All members of the former Lowrance Cooper firm will join Scott and Company as part of the transaction.

A native of Chapin, SC, Ms. Cooper has more than 20 years of experience dealing with corporate and partnership taxation issues, with particularly deep expertise serving auto dealerships, law firms, insurance agencies and non-profit entities, as well as individual clients. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Columbia College, and previously owned her own firm before joining Lowrance Cooper and Company in 2005.  

A Certified Public Accountant in South Carolina, Ms. Cooper is an active member of both the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  She is active on the Board of The Nurturing Center and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Columbia.
