How to automate your accounts payable.

Feb. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- If you think you have fully implemented policies to lower the amount of manual tasks being done, think again.  Many people have jumped on the Accounts Receivable Automation bandwagon, however why not help automate the other side of the equation.

Accounts Payable’s are a task that take up as much, if not more time for a business as anything. Surprisingly the majority of businesses are still printing, and signing checks, then stuffing and licking envelopes.  Why not open the door to a new possibility to expedite another tedious task.

Many services state they can solve all your problems, and promise you the world, unfortunately my experience has taught me that word of mouth, and actual recommendations are a much better way of picking business relationships.  For full disclosure, I do not have any interest in either of the following companies (financially, personally or any other reason).  As a person who likes to grow my knowledge and experience, as well as those around me, it is always good to share something positive for others.

My personal experience is much more in depth with bill.com but have heard very positive recommendations for both.  These solutions work to improve turnaround time for payable approval, as well as provide an online format that clients, partners, board members and others can approve in a much quicker fashion, before the item is paid.

Think about what your staff or management company is currently doing, how they are providing real time information, and if it is not as smooth as what can be seen on these sites, perhaps it is time to rethink your current situation.  Companies must innovate and adapt to be more productive, keep costs under control and provide better customer service.  After all if it’s like pulling teeth to implement something as simple as making this task more efficient, what else are you missing out on?
