During the event, Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of their guests total food purchases. “This is the community’s opportunity to support Wild Blue and the work we do to save lives and have a scrumptious meal at the same time,” Lauri Cross, Executive Director of Wild Blue. “Plus it’s a chance to support a local area business as well,” she continued. Guests must bring the 10% Donation Night coupon to take advantage of the fundraiser benefits. Coupons are available at many of the businesses in the Black Forest and Monument area and will also be available at the restaurant on the night of the event. Wild Blue’s Spring fundraiser will be a flower bulbs and plant sales through an organization called Flower Power Fundraising (www.flowerpowerfundraising.com) Since opening in 2010, Wild Blue has rescued more than 425 dogs, cats and kittens. The number of cats highly outweighs the number of dogs with more than 320 cats rescued and adopted out. 2012 saw the number of dogs and cats rescued and placed into loving homes at over 195, with nearly all of those animals being cats. “There are many animals out there who need saving and that’s what we’re all about,” said Cross.
