CBT College provides V.I.T.A. services to the local community

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 4, 2013 - CBT College (College of Business & Technology) an academic and career institution based in the greater Miami-Dade area, announces the opening of campus locations offering the free V.I.T.A. program for the community.

CBT College is proud to offer the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for over 20 years, this year services are being offered at three different locations in Miami, Fl.  V.I.T.A. is a government funded program in which IRS Certified Volunteers aid in preparing tax returns.

Volunteers are trained and tested in current tax laws, using IRS material to provide the various services offered. The volunteers are prepared to aid in the completion of the following returns:

      Form1040  

      Form1040 A

·         With Schedule 1, 2, 3 & EIC

·         Form 1040

·         Form 1040-V

·         Form 1040-ES

·         Form 2441 (Child & Dependent Care Credit)

·         Form 8863 (Educational Credits)

·         Form 8812 (Additional Child Tax Credit)

Things to bring to your V.I.T.A. appointment include:

Current year’s tax package and or label
All forms W-2 and 1099’s
Information for other income
Information for al deductions/credits
A copy of last year’s tax return
Proof of account for direct deposit of refund (e.g., voided check)
Social Security or Individual Taxpayer Identification cards
for you, your spouse, and/or dependents.
Proof of identification for yourself and/or your spouse.

Cutler Bay (https://plus.google.com/111661418051110502982/about?gl=US...) and Kendall (Corporate) (https://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=CBT+College,+8991+Sout...) will be VITA FSA (Free Self Assist) Sites. These two sites will have computers available to the public for them to self file their taxes. The hours of operation at Cutler Bay will be Monday – Friday 10 AM – 6:00 PM. Closed 1PM – 2PM. and Kendall (Corporate) will be Monday – Friday 11 AM – 3:00 PM.
