The album highlights New Spain as a mecca of baroque and galant music through the works of Ignacio Jerusalem and Santiago Billoni, two of the most influential composers of eighteenth-century Mexico.

In much the same way, musicologists and scholars have rediscovered the music of the Spanish Colonies giving us a peek inside the opulence and grandeur of a time long past.
