Koehler & Dramm Wholesale Florist names student and professional floral artist winners

Feb. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Minneapolis, MN -- On Tuesday, January 29, 2013, Koehler & Dramm Wholesale Florist held its annual January floral showcase dubbed i Designer's Showcase. As part of the evening of demonstrations and networking, the annual Professional Floral Artist of the Year with a theme of depicting their heritage through floral arrangement and Student Design Competition with a theme of ship in a bottle was held.

In the Professional Floral Artist of the Year category, sixth place honors went to Adele Morris of Green Thumbs Originals of St. Louis Park; fifth place went to Britta Wilson of Lindners in St. Paul; the fourth place winner was Mayumi Redin of Bachman's in Richfield, MN; second runner-up honors went to Gretchen Rogers of Moose Lake Floral of Moose Lake, MN; first runner-up winner was Heidi Brady of Forever Floral in Coon Rapids and the first place winner was Diane Enge of Bachman's in Richfield, MN.

The top three professional floral designers are given the opportunity to compete on stage at the Minneapolis Home and Garden Show on Saturday evening, March 2, 2013.

In the student floral design competition, eleven floral artists competed for the title with third place going to Sheena Schlichter, the second place was Christina Erickson and the first place winner was Marcia Brondyke.
