Miami, January 28, 2013:   American Medical Depot (AMD), the Medical Division of American Purchasing Services, LLC, is pleased to announce that Beverly Kuykendall joins its executive team as the Vice President of Vertical Markets; effective January 1, 2013. Kuykendall will lead AMD’s expansion in key areas closely aligned with the firm’s product and services mix.  This appointment signals a strategic turn for this high growth, global logistics firm.  “AMD’s continuous, focused infrastructure investment supports our targeted evolution into related, high-growth industries; and now is the perfect time to engage the unique talents of Ms. Kuykendall,” states Akhil Agrawal, President of AMD.

Beverly’s proven background in strategic relationship development, identifying and structuring entry into key markets was developed early in her career at firms such as Procter & Gamble, American Hospital Supply and Herman Miller. As President and CEO of Federal and Commercial Contracts, Inc. (FCCi) a federal consultancy, Beverly developed and executed strategic federal programs for such firms as Owens & Minor, Incorporated, 3M Corporation and Tremco, Incorporated; cementing her reputation as a highly regarded federal expert with the ability to expand federal market share and open new emerging markets.

Her overall executive level experience will ensure that AMD continues to grow at a record pace, allowing the company to further its leadership position within the global logistics and healthcare markets.  “Industries seek market ready, proven demand-side solutions and technologies backed by a strong organization,” says Kuykendall.  “I am excited about the opportunity to make a more direct contribution to a company with whom I have had such a long-term relationship.”

Beverly’s appointment comes at the conclusion of another year of celebrated progress for the company; as AMD continues to experience double-digit growth and great customer interest in various markets where the need for strong infrastructure, financial acumen and flawless execution are demanded.

Beverly Kuykendall has also been a strong advocate for women, minority and veteran owned businesses; helping them to realize their fullest potential. The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBEC)-West, a Regional Partnering Organization of WBENC, have tapped into her rich reservoir of experience and knowledge.  Both organizations enlisted Beverly to design and deliver content rich business strategy programs for their constituencies.  The Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council (SCMSDC) asked the expert to structure a curriculum and deliver the content to their members in a series entitled, “Let’s Get Federal TV.”  The series helped to demystify the federal contracting process.

Ms. Kuykendall’s efforts have resulted in numerous awards acknowledging her commitment to enhance the industrial base of firms focused in the federal marketplace. She is highly regarded as an advisor and professional public speaker on federal acquisition regulations.  Most recently Ms. Kuykendall was celebrated in Southern California under numerous banners.  She was honored in Recognition of Service to the People of Los Angeles by the Los Angeles City Council and Mayor Villaraigosa; serves as a Strategic Partner with the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Economic Policy and Inclusion,  a Mentor/Advisor to the University of Southern California’s (USC) Diversity Department, recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by the Black Business Association of Los Angeles and awarded the Minority Business Advocate Award by the National Association of Minority Contractors of Southern California for her innovative strategies and creative implementation of strategic programs.
