When reached for comment, Dale Hildebrandt explained, "I was merely trying to turn off my TV set using mind power, like Uri Geller with spoons. To my surprise, I ended up causing a blackout. I sincerely apologize to everyone for any inconveniences and I promise I won't be trying this experiment again."
Dale Hildebrandt explained that he has been successfully performing psychic entertainment and phenomena for all of his life. He has made UFO's appear, spoons bend, and seeds sprout inside their packages. He said the Superbowl Blackout was not intentional.
"This is the last thing I thought would happen," explained Reality Engineer Dale Hildebrandt, "I'm just glad everyone is okay and hope we can all get on with our lives. Again, I apologize for the blackout."
