She formed House of Ming, a boutique motion picture company where she serves as writer and director. Her film YELLOW won “BestShort Narrative” category at the 5th Annual Hip Hop Odyssey International Film Festival. Yellow screened at BAM Rose Cinemas in Brooklyn, NY in their “Creatively Speaking Series” and will soon be released on Urban Slam Vol. 2, a DVD compilation with several acclaimed shorts. House of Ming also produced and directed Fiche d’Identite Dominga’s most successful video production “Forever” (The Floacist & Musiq Soulchild) which has been featured on MTV Music, VH-1 and BET, and has surpassed the 1⁄2 million-viewer mark on YouTube. It premiered on VIBE.com to over 1 Million viewers. Dominga is currently in development of her first feature film which is being produced by Monty Ross who produced Spike Lee’s first 7 films including: School Daze, Do The Right Thing and Jungle Fever. Patrice Johnson Chevannes Patrice Johnson Chevannes, an award-winning Brooklyn-based filmmaker and actress. Patrice began with THIRTY FOUR WALL, which won the African American Women in Cinema best screenplay award. During the Broadway run of The Crucible, she wrote the feature KINGS COUNTY.
