Humanitarian, philanthropist and activist, Polston-Dalton was the second runner-up to Miss Kentucky World, but took on the title of 2012 Mrs. Kentucky after her marriage to Matt Dalton. The mother of four adopted children, she chose adoption as her platform as the representative of Kentucky and has fervently supported the cause during her reign as Mrs. Kentucky United States.
“Adoption was, and is, the greatest experience (my husband and I) have both ever known,” Kathy said. “We went through an agency through (another state). It was easy for us because we did not specify gender, we did not specify race. Whatever God placed us with, we were thrilled. It can be as easy as you want it to be if you are accepting and go through a reputable agency and reputable lawyer.”
In addition to child adoption, Kathy is also passionate about the pet population and has become involved with Shamrock Arrow Fund in Louisville, KY which provides medical treatment to Kentucky animals who have been the victims of torture or extreme forms of abuse and neglect. Polston-
Polston-Dalton will be relinquishing her crown to a new Mrs. Kentucky United States in May 2013. But fret not, Polston-Dalton will be re-branding her pageant image with a new acting and modeling career and we are elated knowing that New York has graciously opened it's doors to Polston-Dalton.
