New Propane Fueling Station Opens for Autogas Fleets in Santa Clarita Area

Feb. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Arro Autogas (http://arroautogas.com/), provider of premium propane autogas for propane powered trucks, autos and alternative fuel fleets throughout California, announces its newest public propane refueling station, located at Camping World in Newhall, California. This is the eighth station Arro Autogas has opened to-date, and the company expects to open 12 more stations across California by the end of 2013.

“The secret to this station is that it’s ideally located for fleets that travel on the I-5 corridor of the state, coming in and out of the Southern California area,” says Market Manager Ted Olsen, explaining that the refueling station is set conveniently in Santa Clarita, an exit south of the Magic Mountain/Six Flags exit.

According to Olsen, the new station as well as the dozen others planned for the year, is part of Arro Autogas’ larger strategy to increase propane autogas accessibility.

"We want public propane refueling to be as easy and conveniently located as gasoline for our fleets throughout the state," he explains, adding that as the world’s third most common engine fuel, domestically produced propane autogas emits 12 percent less carbon dioxide, about 20 percent less nitrogen oxide, and up to 60 percent less carbon monoxide than gasoline, while offering fleets significant reduction in fuel and maintenance costs.

Arro Autogas began expanding its network of fueling locations in early 2012 and has since established eight refueling stations throughout the state. Currently, Arro Autogas has five stations in development near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Carson, Glendora, Santa Maria and Paso Robles areas. Olsen says fleet operators can begin to look for these stations in early 2013.

“With this new station and the five other new sites being developed, the refueling network is starting to take shape and become more and more convenient for fleet operators,” says Olsen.

In addition to providing the autogas and developing convenient stations, Arro also works with fleet operators to convert diesel or gas-powered vehicles to run on clean-burning propane.
