Amy Poliakoff Hosts a Night of Art Meets Fashion Presented by PopUp Republic and EuArt

Feb. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- February 1, 2013 - Amy Poliakoff Hosts a PopUp Art and Fashion Event Presented by PopUp Republic and EuArt to be held at Ken and Cook / Lil Charlies.

New York City (February 1, 2013)– On Saturday, February 9th at 9 pm Amy Poliakoff, NY based Art Curator and Socialite, will be hosting a night of Art meets fashion in a very special PopUp Event at Lil Charlies and Ken and Cook. 19 Kenmare St. New York, NY 10012.  Amy’s Art meets Fashion event will be held to benefit charity and will showcase various art pieces presented by EuArt as well as feature a very special fashion show by Celebrity Fashion Designer Stevie Boi.  The PopUp Event will be appropriately Presented by Popup Republic which has become a leading voice in the American popup scene, providing updates, an online directory and social media marketing in support of popup stores, restaurants and events.  

Amy Poliakoff is ahead of the curve when it comes to using popups as a
means to showcase upcoming artists and designers. Popups are fun,
impromptu, and one-of-a-kind -- sort of like Amy, actually. We are
thrilled to be involved with this great event, said Jeremy Baras, PopUp

Originally from Coral Gables, Florida, Amy Poliakoff studied Communications and Art History at the University of Miami and currently lives in Manhattan. With vast gallery experience under her belt already, Amy has held positions with the Wolfsonian Museum, the David Zwirner Gallery, the Paul Kasmin Gallery, and the Leila Heller Gallery. She currently is a public relations manager at Bernarducci.Meisel.Gallery and is involved in multiple New York-based organizations.

Stevie Boi is an American fashion designer and founder of the luxury eyewear line SB Shades. Stevie Boi™ specializes in high fashion, runway, ready-wear shades and accessories. His is a story, an epic saga, grown from the explorers and fashion elite whom recognize fearless art. It is a dream, a magical reality; something we believe in, narrate, express and share. The nights event will be highlighted by generous contributions from EuArt presented by Ilaria Niccolini Productions, New York Fashion Week Designer Michael Kuluva of Tumbler and Tipsy, artist Nora Mulheren, and UpRise Art. Erik Rosete, International Fashion Brand and Lifestyle Manager will be producing the event along with Bridget O’brien PR.

HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF KITCHEN is a community-based, grassroots relief effort based in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. What began as an immediate, around-the-clock effort cooking out of the back of Two Boots of Brooklyn, has now transformed into an operation comprising local business, community groups and friends. Now operating out of Old First Reformed Church, we have, to date, served tens of thousands of those affected by Hurricane Sandy in coastal neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Staten Island.

Women’s Cancer Research Foundation
A wonderful foundation dedicated to improving the cure rates of women with gynecologic and breast cancer through innovative clinical research.

Amy Poliakoff;s event will be one of the most exclusive New York Fashion Week Events, as Amy has set herself apart as a unique philanthropist, socialite and Popup Event Hostess.  Attendees will experience a unique PopUp celebrity-filled event featuring fashion art and music under one roof.  

The French inspired restaurant, Ken & Cook, brings its relaxed yet upscale ambiance to the historic Kenmare Street in NoLita.
