Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes Teams with Miami Dade Animal Services for Good Cause

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 1, 2013 - Miami Lakes, FL – Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes, currently ranked #1 in Miami Lakes by Tripadvisor, hosts a monthly canine cocktail hour to promote local awareness and raise money for animal shelters. As of January, Hotel Indigo has been partnering with the Miami-Dade Animal Shelter and has begun a variety of new changes to the event to help promote their cause. Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes promotes a “neighborhood story” – highlighting everything the small town has to offer. Canine Cocktails is just another unique event the city is able to participate in. The Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes Canine Cocktails Event has been taking place every month since February 2012, and has no plans to slow down.

For February’s Canine Cocktails on Thursday February 21st, the Miami-Dade Animal Shelter has confirmed they will bring animals for adoption to the event – two dogs, and two cats to be exact. They are hoping with the growing number of attendees they will be able to find more loving homes for the animals in need.

As always, Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes will donate $1 for every drink purchased directly to the shelter. Patrons are able to make additional donations should they wish.

The event is a calm and relaxing evening of live jazz music and delicious cocktails made at a private bar on the property’s courtyard. Food and drink specials are available through the hotel’s 23 Bar & Bistro for all attendees. Guests are welcomed to lounge, dine, and socialize in style, while enjoying the company of man’s best friend.

Lisa Gory, Director of Sales and Marketing for the hotel, attends the event every month with her family. “It’s a nice relaxing evening I get to spend with my family and our dog. We socialize with other families, and just enjoy meeting all the friendly dogs.” Lisa hopes to find an Italian Greyhound up for adoption in the near future.
