Feb. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Without innovation you will be following others and the reaping the meagre offerings of a common merchandise business. Most entrepreneurs will know this to be the case, but its too easy to easy to talk about innovation and while actually undercutting the whole process in the office. “Innovation is hard and can be a frustrating process that can you have you racking your brains for an original idea.” Said Christoph Grizzard.

Innovation is inclusive, not exclusive, this is a classic mistake by not just entrepreneurs but also established executives. Good ideas can come from anyone and you should hear people out when they come to you with what they believe to be a genuinely good idea, also don't assume that good ideas come from a small circle of insiders.

Innovation needs time and resources, any business needs room to progress. Restrict the time, energy and other resources required and the end result is that it just won't happen. People need space to think, experiment and consider some things that may actually lead to nothing.

If you make everyone account for every minute and penny in search of maximum output then you will cut out innovation for efficiency that isn't possible. When running a business you have to take chances and then use shrewd risk management to keep the negative implications from being too severe.

Christoph Grizzard tells us “efficiency doesn't count for everything, people need time to think and come up with and test some ideas.”

Innovation needs a nurturing atmosphere, the best products, services and business practices didn't just arrive complete. They have come together after a process of mistakes and end the end get corrected.

To encourage innovation, stop punishing people for mistakes and publicly dismissing ideas from team members.

“Innovation requires space and positive encouragement and also your team may have ideas that could potentially be great so you could be at fault for not listening to them.” Commented Christoph Grizzard.
