Louisville Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Stacie Grossfeld Makes Video on ACL Injury, ACL Tear & ACL Surgery

ACL injury is the topic of a new video by Louisville orthopedic surgeon Dr. Stacie Grossfeld.The video is based on a keynote address titled “ACL Injury” that Dr. Grossfeld gave this month to an audience at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY.

Jan. 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Louisville orthopedic and Sports Medicine physician Stacie Grossfeld M.D. recently created an informative video on ACL Injury.  The video is available on YouTube at http://youtu.be/d279VSQz4v8 and is based on a recent keynote address Dr. Grossfeld gave for the "No Bones About It" Lecture Series at the Baptist Hospital East auditorium in Louisville, Kentucky on Monday, January 21, 2013, from 5 – 6 p.m.  

Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Stacie Grossfeld is an alumna of the University of Louisville’s School of Medicine. Dr. Grossfeld attended the University of Minnesota for her training in orthopedic surgery, and she also did a special fellowship in sports medicine at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Center.

Dr. Grossfeld is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician with her own medical practice, Orthopaedic Specialists PLLC, located at 4001 Kresge Way, Suite 330, in Louisville, Kentucky. This ACL Injury video created by Dr. Grossfeld covers a range of important topics related to ACL injury including anatomy, mechanism of injury, demographics related to ACL tears, ACL repair, ACL surgery, autograft vs. allograph, meniscal tear, knee injuries, recovery from an ACL tear and ACL injury prevention.

Dr. Grossfeld is an experienced orthopedic surgeon with a special focus on knee injuries and knee surgeries including ACL injury, ACL repair and ACL injury prevention.  She has also written about ACL injury and ACL prevention published on her website and her blog, including detailed information about differences in ACL injury rates between men and women.

When not serving her patients at Orthopaedic Specialists or writing for her blog at http://www.louisvillebones.com/blog/, Dr. Grossfeld enjoys spending time as an orthopedic physician for a variety of sports teams in the Louisville, Kentucky, area including the University of Louisville women's soccer team, the University of Louisville women's lacrosse team, and teams at Indiana University Southeast.  Most recently, Dr. Grossfeld is working as the orthopedic doctor for the 2013 World Cyclocross Championships held in Louisville, KY, January 29 through February 3 at Eva Bandman park.  

Dr. Grossfeld's experience with sports medicine also comes from her own interest in athletics. She enjoys playing tennis through the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and riding her bicycle. She also spends time in northern Wisconsin where she loves to cross-country ski.
