In the article, Dr. Villafranco, a board-certified physician turned artisan soap guru, describes the steps of cold-process soap-making. She also mentions the ingredients to look for when buying bar soap, in order to keep moisture levels up in the skin and prevent it from drying.

The article also explains the numerous benefits of choosing handmade soap, including the fact that natural soaps, like Osmia’s, don’t use harsh chemicals or potentially carcinogenic additives.
