Inventor Patents Soccer Volley Product to Enhance the Beautiful Game

A soccer product company, Volley King was created from the desire to see athletes thrive in the sport by providing technical training tools. The Volley King is named after the kick which the device helps to perfect and after Morris' soccer hero, King Pélé. This kick is known as the most powerful and difficult kick to perform in soccer. In fact, during the last World Cup, approximately 40 percent of goals scored were volleys or half-volleys, thus the importance of this dynamic kick.

Desmond V. Morris, creator and founder of Volley King, LLC, is an experienced athlete, coach, and physical education expert. He holds a National "A" license in coaching from the United States Soccer Federation. Morris played for the Luso American Soccer Association in the United States, Hairoun Lion (a Professional Caribbean Team), and for the National Vincentian Team in the West Indies. He has coached four championship teams; two State Cup Championships and two Region Premier Championships. It is said that he is an avid, and at times strict, technician of the game.

As a U.S. college player, Morris longed to see the sport develop in the U.S. to where it is at now. His passion for the sport is intense and his knowledge of the game quite vast. He designed his own coaching technique, the Touchmaster System, to help students master their footwork. And now, he has developed a product to ensure greater volley kick success and increased goal scoring in the game.

The problem for Morris was in the amount of volleys missed in a game. Morris also shared that he loved watching King Pélé play the beautiful game, as a youth in St. Vincent & the Grenadines. He hopes to one day meet his soccer hero who encouraged the hearts of young soccer players everywhere. Soccer took Morris from Connecticut to Davis & Elkins, a West Virginia college that took soccer seriously, and recruited a group of terrific international players. Morris' love of the sport has not diminished after all these years.
