Rather than giving the predictable box of chocolates, York’s Chocolate Story is encouraging loved ones to go the extra mile this year and treat partners to the ultimate gift: a day dedicated to their real true love, chocolate.
A cultural trip to York’s Chocolate Story is sure to get you in the good books. Take a fun-filled, interactive tour of some of the world’s most iconic confectionery brands and products, guided by a Confectioneer, and go on a romantic journey through the wonderful sweets and treats that came from the great city of York – while you sample the choccy delights you learn about.
Master the fine art of chocolate-tasting, before experiencing tantalising chocolate-making demonstrations where you can try your hand at making heart-shaped chocolates freshly made especially for you by top chocolatiers. Next is a chocolate lolly making workshop, where you can work together to create your own heart shaped lollies.
Once you’ve finished the tour, settle down in The Chocolate Bar café for a truly alternative foodie experience. Enjoy chocolate fondue for two by candlelight, and be a gentleman by giving her the last marshmallow or strawberry.
Finally, browse the Chocolate Shop, full of deliciously tempting gifts, and buy something special to remember the day.
