Mr. Michael F Durkee of Zampell Becomes a Construction Health and Safety Technician

Jan. 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Zampell Companies - Mr. Durkee has completed all requirements for certification as a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST).  This highly respected certification is awarded to individuals who meet the experience and/or education requirements to include passing a four hour examination.  The examination covers safety and health inspections, general safety training, safety health record keeping, hazard communication compliance, safety analysis and planning, accident investigations, program management and administration, OSHA and other inspections.

The Construction Health and Safety Technician provides an important supporting effort at the job site level to aid in the protection of workers, the public, property and the environment.  The CHST functions with specifically designed and managed programs aimed at compliance with the safety principles and federal, state and local regulations. A CHST must recertify every five years to maintain this certification.

The Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification program is operated by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).  Established in 1969, BCSP has nationally recognized credentials in the safety, health and environment accredited professional and para-professional certifications. The Board of Certified Safety Professionals is located in Champaign, Illinois.
