Mike Fisher, bass player and lead vocalist for the rock band Scripter, came across the video while on social networking site facebook.com. “I saw the video and thought, how genius?” Fisher said, “I’ve always been told an employer wants an employee who they can get along with, and this guy seems like a fun person who is genuinely excited about this job”. Fisher made a point to spread the word, sending the video out to friends, family, and Scripter’s facebook followers.
So far, the video has seen more than 140 views in one day, and has been emailed across multiple small business servers as an example of how an applicant should value a potential employer and job. The video even caught the attention of Northwest Florida online travel agency www.tripshock.com and was shared on their facebook page with the caption “Anyone looking for a job? Take a lesson from this guy...”.
As Scripter continues to spread the word, Fisher and the rest of the rock trio wish Daniel Woods luck in the job search. And with such lyrics as “what I really wanna do is work for you, what I want is you to see that I'm your man, call a reference, I’m the person for the job,” Woods’ search shouldn’t have to last too much longer.
