Using Quality Content And Social Media To Dominate Your Local Real Estate Market

As more and more potential real estate buyers are finding properties they are interested in via the internet and mobile devices it has become crucial for real estate professionals to understand what is necessary to help them.

PRLog - Jan. 30, 2013 - MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- As more and more potential real estate buyers are finding properties they are interested in via the internet and mobile devices it has become crucial for real estate professionals to understand what is necessary to help them dominate the search engine results for their area. Gone are the days that a real estate broker can simply rely on large and colorful hard copy ad displays to drive traffic to their properties for sale, now one must be found on the first page of Google or suffer the consequences.

In writing quality content for your real estate website or blog you must not only write information that is interesting and reader friendly but you must also employ the use of carefully chosen keywords sprinkled throughout your article, blog post or press release which will help your content to be more readily indexed by the major search engines. In addition to this, the use of proper “tags” in your blog posts will also go a long way towards the speed at which your posts are indexed and the number of mentions you will be found for. For those unfamiliar with the term, “tags” are simply keywords chosen that relate to your post which you choose in your CMS or Content Management System such as Wordpress.

An example of writing in a way that emphasizes certain keywords would be to utilize bold, italics, and underlines to show the importance of particular keywords, for instance a realtor seeking to promote the term “Prince Creek Homes for Sale” would want to include that term in the article or blog post and use it in a couple of different ways. “We are the dominant real estate agency for Prince Creek Homes for Sale and offer more listings in this area than any other realtor. For homebuyers seeking a beautiful single family home for sale in Prince Creek, Beach Realty Group is your preferred choice.” You can see how I used the keyword phrase in two different ways and made them bold to emphasize importance.

In addition to writing quality keyword rich interesting content the real estate agent in the new age of high tech must also utilize other tools such as being sure that your site is optimized for mobile devices and linking up social media networks such as Twitter and Facebook to auto post your blog posts in your Facebook posts and Twitter feed. Add in YouTube videos for all of your listings and set them to post when loaded to your social media networks as well. Be sure to utilize keyword rich descriptions for your videos and put the url beginning with http to the beginning of your descriptions and then your phone number and contact info – this way this information will show up first in what is extracted and shown in search results.

Proper utilization of online marketing methods such as blogging and social media networking takes time and takes a little work but it is long lasting and other than the investment in time is not a high cost endeavor unless one utilizes the services of a professional to do the work for them. If you take the time to write interesting and engaging content utilizing interlinked social media accounts you will see your online presence become much more visible in short order.
