Both in L.A. and New York, Chris has studied and coached with several excellent teachers, including Charlie Laughton, William Alderson, Marcia Haufrecht, Arian Brandt, Elizabeth Kemp, and Fred Waggoner. Chris has been a lead in over 14 independent films in the last 4 years, and more than 20 independent shorts and features in his entire career. Many have gone to film festivals such as Cannes, Slamdance, Berlin, Cinequest, and Brooklyn. Most notably, he played the lead character in Sean Kirkpatrick’
Sean Kirkpatrick's "Cost of a Soul" can now be streamed on Netflix, Itunes, Amazon, Youtube, and OnDemand. Chris is the antagonist in 2 films slated for distribution this year: Stephen Marro's "Broadway's Finest" and Tim McCann's "Zero In the System". Chris has also been a lead in 3 films in the last few months: Felix Else's "Wear". Mark Finguerra's "Awake", and Bernard Lawton Phillips "Northbend". He is in pre-production to play the lead in James Laurence's feature "The Only Girl".
The characters that Chris plays range from dark and quirky, to romantic, to comedic; and sometimes require him to gain or lose significant amounts of weight, demonstrating his ability to dramatically transform himself physically to portray a character. In addition to his refined acting technique, Chris credits his long time dedication to the martial arts, and spiritual practices, as what centers and grounds him in his acting work. These disciplines enable him to consistently bring forth richly human characters with greater depth and scope.
