Bunnell, FL – The Board of Directors of the Bunnell Chamber of Commerce will award three Business Improvement Grants to local businesses, Thursday, January 31, 2013.
According to Chairman Michael Barr, the Chamber’s program provides grants to offset costs associated with improving curb appeal and making necessary repairs.
“We are pleased to award these grants to support three deserving businesses in our community,” said Barr. “Since the program started in June 2012, the Bunnell Chamber has given back nearly $2,000 to local businesses with another $1,000 in process. We’re off to a great start and look forward to providing as many grants as funding allows. This is another great example of how the Chamber helps our local business community succeed.”
To apply for the grant, businesses must submit an application that is reviewed by the affiliate Chamber Board. Favorable consideration will be given to projects that use local labor or locally sourced products. Additional consideration is given to active Chamber members. Applicants must secure any necessary permits and licensed contractors for projects. The program will reimburse businesses up to $500 for improvements, matching a portion of the applicant’s expenses up to 200 percent.
