Industry Expert, Jill Heinerth, Shares Her Extreme Knowledge With Scuba Divers at OWU 2013

Rebreather diving at one time was mostly used for military operations.  Today, rebreathers are becoming very popular for technical divers as well as underwater photographers and videographers.  Jill’s workshop will take you on the cutting edge of the rebreather world.  This workshop can either spark your interests in rebreather diving or expand your current knowledge of rebreathers.

Side Mount Diving has become more main stream in recent years with training agencies jumping on for more recreational and technical diving opportunities.  Above all, side mount creates a new challenge for divers.  Side mount diving has helped divers gain more flexibility and accessibility, become more streamlining and increase safety and comfort while diving.  Side mount diving has become the preferred method of diving for many scuba divers today.

If there is one thing that separates the caves in the Bahamas from anywhere else on earth, it is their diversity.  The ocean caves in the Bahamas are literally filled with marine life such as sponges, lobster, crabs and shrimp.  It has been described as an over stocked aquarium! Jill has made many extreme dives in the Bahamas and will be at Our World Underwater in 2013 to share her experience with other scuba divers.  This is something that you simply cannot miss.

Jill is a pioneering underwater explorer and filmmaker.  As an industry expert, she is frequently called upon by manufactures and training agencies to assist in development of new technologies and training materials. Jill is a regular contributor and video expert for DIVER magazine and her photography and writing have been featured in prominent magazines and major newspapers around the world.  She is the author of three books on cave diving and underwater photography.
