Does SoCal Have America's Smoochiest Pooch? National Competition Kicks Off at Southern CA Pet Expo.

Jan. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Phoenix, AZ. (January 29, 2013) – Want to find out if you have America's Most Kissable Dog? Bring Fido to the Long Beach Arena this coming Saturday, February 2nd, where Top Dog Eileen Proctor  is kicking off the "America's Smoochiest Pooch" competition at the Southern California Pet Expo -  the first stop along the 2013 year-long national road tour. Pet owners can enter the competition by bringing their dog to the SoCal Pet Expo (http://www.socalpetexpo.com/) in Long Beach, CA between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 2nd, and having a photograph taken of their dog kissing Eileen Proctor.

One "K-9 Kissing King or Queen™" will be selected in each city. The dog with the most online votes at the end of a 30-day voting period will be crowned the winner for that location, win a prize package provided by sponsor  PetzLife and automatically be entered into the national competition. Proctor has developed the year-long road tour to raise awareness for animal rescue and welfare organizations, and honor the deep relationship between pets and their owners. A portion of the $5 entry fee at each tour destination goes directly to benefit a local animal welfare or rescue organization.

While they will not be entered into the official contest, animal lovers across the nation can also participate in the fur-filled fun - without going to the expo - by uploading pictures of themselves kissing their dog(s) on Facebook at @AmericasSmoochiestPooch, or by tagging an Instagram photo with #kissingdogs.
