“Over the past few months, our membership has grown by 35 per cent. Almost every month we’re seeing entrepreneurs and business owners joining our network, which is very encouraging,”
According to the Council of Small Business of Australia, there are approximately 1.8 million small businesses operating Australia-wide, which represents over 95 per cent of all businesses.
“Things are looking up this early in the year and we are confident we will see more business owners join our network,” Mr Wiggins said.
The growth of Converge Business Network will see new chapter starting in Chatswood on February 2013. Other groups will also start in Manly, Crows Nest, Bondi Beach, Chatswood, Fitzroy, Malvern, New Farm, Brisbane CBD and Newcastle.
“We are very excited to start a Converge Network in Chatswood because there is a big group of entrepreneurs and business owners there who could benefit from the practical, pragmatic and targeted mentoring and networking that we offer,” Mr Wiggins said.
Converge Business Networks provide small business owners and managers with a platform to establish formal and strategic relationships with like-minded local business people.
Its structured business networking gives members the opportunity to generate quality referrals and also share ideas, knowledge and experience with members of the network.
The Chatswood Converge Group will have its initial meeting on Wednesday, 13th February 2013 from 7:30AM – 9:00AM. Venue is Café Ena on Tower 2, 475 Victoria Avenue (near the train station entrance and opposite the Chatswood RSL Club).
