SPM Resorts Announces Awards for Employees and Resorts

Jan. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – SPM Resorts, a full-service professional timeshare management company, recognized several employees and resorts for outstanding service during 2012. These awards were announced at the company’s annual general managers’ conference located in Hilton Head, S.C.

Kimber Bates was recognized as Resort Employee of the Year. Bates is the front office manager for A Place at the Beach III, located in in Atlantic Beach, N.C. Bates has been with the company for 2 ½ years and was recommended for this award by the resort’s general manager, Jeff Lessey, as well as Regional Vice President of Operations Lanse McColl.

The award for General Manager of the Year went to Toni Peterson, GM for Tropic Sun Towers in Ormond Beach, Fla. Peterson has been with the company since March 2003, when SPM Resorts began managing the resort, and has served in the role of GM at Tropic Sun Towers since January 2000. Runners-up for this award were Julie Phillips, GM for Peppertree By the Sea in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Will Potter, GM at Royal Dunes in Hilton Head, S.C.

Lori Pena was awarded the prestigious President’s Award. Lori is a regional administrative assistant and assists Regional Vice Presidents Ken Pfeifle and Lanse McColl with day-to-day administrative functions of managing the homeowners’ associations. Lori has been with SPM Resorts since 2006.

Last, but certainly not least, the Resort of the Year award went to Seawatch at Island Club in Hilton Head, S.C. This is the fifth time this resort has won this award, including 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2010. Seawatch has been managed by SPM Resorts since 1996. Seawatch has been recognized by RCI with the Gold Crown award for 11 consecutive years. The regional vice president/general manager at Seawatch is Ken Pfeifle, and assistant general manager is Shelly Beeson. Their entire team is to be congratulated on this award.
