Jan. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- The board of directors of Colorado Springs Diversity Forum (CSDF) has elected Managed Business Solutions president and CEO Jon Duncan, a recognized diversity champion, to serve as chair for the coming year.

He has over 20 years’ experience in a variety of executive, sales management, channels, sales and business development roles at Oracle, Siebel, Peakstone, MobileSys, Inktomi, McAfee/Network Associates, and Digital Pathways.

Duncan has been recognized as the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development’s (NCAIED) Native American Top 40 Under 40, and by Diversity MBA Magazine’s as a Top 100 under 50 Diverse Executive & Emerging Leader.

“Colorado Springs Diversity Forum is comprised of members, partners, and volunteers representing a diverse cross-section of individuals, nonprofits, educational institutions, businesses and organizations who have joined together to make an important investment in our community by demonstrating and educating about the strength and opportunity in embracing diversity,” Duncan said. “I am honored to have been selected to and excited to build on the momentum created by this extraordinary group of volunteers.”

As Colorado Spring’s leading resource for diversity and inclusion, CSDF engages more than 22,000 community members annually in dialogue, roundtable, education, recognition, and celebratory programs and events.

The CSDF Board sets overall policy and direction for the organization and its programs, provides guidance for project management and leads the volunteer committee base.

Duncan thanked outgoing CSDF Board Chair Gary Peacock, Market Manager of Walmart, who lead the organization to a first place award from the National League of Cities – 2010 City Cultural Diversity Award – through the hosting of Colorado Springs’ Golden Anniversary Celebration of its Sister City relationship with Fujiyoshida, Japan.

“On behalf of the CSDF board I applaud Gary for his outstanding commitment to our community and especially for his years of service and leadership in support of the mission of this organization,” said Duncan.
