On Wednesday, January 30, 2013, The Lampidis Foundation will host it's signature cocktail fundraiser event at CRAVE @ 4250 Salzedo Street, Suite 1425 | Coral Gables, FL 33146.
This gourmet extravaganza will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. A donation of $50 at the door is welcome. All proceeds will support Dr.Theodore Lampidis ongoing cancer research which is focused on eradicating cancer by exploiting a trait common to most tumors.
This wonderful casual evening offers a great combination of incredible food and awesome spirits and wines.

This provides funding for Dr Lampidis' ongoing cancer research that is focused on eradicating cancer by exploiting a trait common to most tumors; Increased sugar uptake. Although the PET scan has been around for more than two decades and has proven that tumors take up more glucose than normal cells it has not been successfully exploited for treatment. Dr.Lampidis has found that a sugar very similar to glucose, (2-deoxygluscose)
It is remarkable to think that Miami is on the front line in the race to bring the cure to cancer to those that need it most. Most of us will be touched by cancer at some time in our lives and there's no time or opportunity to be wasted to get involved-Together we can make a difference.
