James Simmons is the other member of the co-hosting team of Ask The Pastor, and he shares in that excitement. In a recent meeting he stated, “Recognizing the need to inspire more Christian writers to write, desiring to see the quality of that writing to be at a high standard and the power of communicating the message of Christianity with power, humor and strength, we are pleased to have James Watkins on as a guest. After all, his reputation and work demonstrate these qualities."
James Watkins is in fact a unique and talented individual. He has authored more than 16 books and over 2,000 articles. He won the Campus Life Book of The Year Award, won the Retailers Choice Award, the Amy Award, served as an editor with the Wesleyan Publishing House, is an instructor at Taylor University in Indiana and he is also the Communications Pastor at a large church in Indiana. He has spoken across the USA as well as to international audiences. In addition he is on a never-ending quest to change society as we know it. He is doing it with the power of words, humor and a compassionate heart.
Although the interview will focus on issues passionate to Christian writers, the program will be of interest to people with a sense of humor, a passionate heart and an interest in improving their understanding of what makes Christian writing Christian.
