Live Bench-side demonstrations by Artist Glen G. Guarino

Jan. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- New Jersey, January 23,2013 – Glen Guarino of Guarino Furniture Designs will give live bench-side technique demonstrations and speaking sessions at The Furniture Project. New England Home Show will host the event at The Seaport World Trade Center, located at 200 Seaport Blvd, Boston MA from February 21 through February 24, 2013. The hours for the show will be Thursday to Friday from noon to 9:00 pm, on Saturday from 10:00am to 9:00pm and Sunday 10:00am to 6:00pm. General admission is is $12.00 for adults at the door and $9.00 when purchased online; children under 17 are free.

Tommy MacDonald, star of WGBH's Rough Cut-Woodworking with Tommy Mac, wanted to feature artists who design and make fine furniture and so the show was born as WoodExpo. The show, which is now called The Furniture Project, is in its fifth year and will continue to have a juried exhibition and guest speakers.  

Guarino frequently exhibits in juried gallery and museum shows. He has been honored as a "Signature Artist" by the Noyes Museum of Art. Guarino's work is in residential and corporate collections. He is a member of the Furniture Society. Guarino's sensitivity to the materials allows him to showcase their many nuances of color and texture. "I believe furniture can be a form of art. When a piece is not in use it should enhance one's work or living space.  I design with the client's needs and preferences in mind. I try to marry good design, art, and materials with the furniture function all in one piece."
