Tasty Catering’s Ellen Harte Earns Certification as a Special Events Professional

Jan. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- CHICAGO – Tasty Catering is proud to announce Director of Key Accounts, Ellen Harte, recently earned the Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) designation from the International Special Events Society (ISES).  The CSEP classification is the hallmark of professional achievement in the special events industry, recognizing event professionals who have successfully demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and ability essential for execution of all special event components. The certification is earned through education, performance, experience, and service to the industry, and reflects an exemplary commitment to professional conduct and ethics.

"The CSEP designation clearly demonstrates Ellen’s commitment to continuing education and personal excellence.  It also signifies what we already knew – Ellen is one of the best in the catering and event industry," said Tom Walter, founding partner and Chief Executive Officer, Tasty Catering. The CSEP is awarded after a rigorous study period and written examination designed to demonstrate a mastery of the body of knowledge in the field.  A handful of people achieve the CSEP designation each year.  Ellen was one of only nine event professionals to receive the CSEP classification from ISES in the fall of 2012.  

Ellen, who has been with Tasty Catering since 1995, oversees the company’s larger, high-volume clients.  She continues to drive company growth by expanding markets with event planning solutions, positively impacting customer satisfaction, employee morale, and bottom line results.

Ellen is also a Certified Professional Catering Executive (CPCE), a designation earned from the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE).  She is frequently published in industry media and recognized with awards for her originality, integration of event elements, quality, attention to detail, and ability to meet objectives.  She is also an active member of industry organizations including the International Special Event Society (ISES), the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE), Meeting Professionals International (MPI), and the Association for Healthcare Foodservices (AHF).

ISES is now more than five thousand members strong, and represents over seventy-five different disciplines including event producers, catering companies, event designers, entertainment producers, linen experts, and marketers.
