His single "Girls Gone Wild" has been gaining spins from club and mix show DJ's at New York's Hot 97.1 as well as Power 105.1. Songs from the album have been heard blaring through the speakers at private listening sessions at the legendary Platinum Sound Studios, and Diddy's Daddy House Studios in NYC. Without any major body of work having been released, Velous has already been featured on MTV, KarenCivil.com, Kfoxx.com, and StuffFlyPeopleLike.com, amongst others. Certain heavy hitters have already begun to take notice as well, including super producer Vinylz, the man behind the boards for Drake, Lil' Wayne and many others.
Hailing from Upstate New York, Velous can be described as an all around, self contained, artist. Along with writing and producing, he also plays the piano, drums, and guitar. At the age of 16, he already began showing signs of promise by releasing "I Love You" which was charting on billboard as well being added onto rotation on Music Choice and other platforms. Velous draws inspiration from a plethora of artists and genres ranging from the legendary sounds of Motown to today's hip-hop, and everything in between.
Among the new class of talent in the music industry, Velous is truly a stand alone on many fronts. His music speaks for its self but many have already begun to take notice. The video for "Girls Gone Wild" is set to premier on MTV, BET, and VH1, along with articles from the likes of XXL and Complex. Velous is also receiving continued support from highly respected platforms such as KarenCivil.com, YouHeardThatNew.com, and the official listening session for the album being hosted by StuffFlyPeopleLike.com. Velous and the music on "Velocity" is sure to be among the conversation at the end of 2013.
