York Lifestyle Exhibition 2013; Independent Retailers Launch New Show in Yorkshire

Jan. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Twelve independent businesses have created the York Lifestyle Exhibition, being held on 2nd and 3rd February. This will bring together a dozen of the region’s foremost experts in home, garden and leisure for two whole days under one roof. The show being held at Deans Garden Centre in Stockton on the Forest will feature Flooring, Interior Design, Bathrooms, Tiling, Electrical Goods, Travel, Outdoor Leisure, Fireplaces, Gardens, Food, Bedrooms, Windows, Landscapes.

The Exhibitors have decided to support the York House - Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust as their chosen charity and hope to be able to hand over at least a £1000 to support their good work. Money will be raised by a prize raffle and the three winning tickets will be drawn on Sunday 3rd.  The Lord Mayor of York has kindly agreed to make the charity prize draw.

"This show is the result of dedicated hard work by a group of retailers and businesses who wanted to show that there really is a place for local business in spite of the current economic climate. We wanted to show that the high street is not all doom & gloom." said Steve Whitt from Fabric Gallery & Interiors, one of the exhibitors.

"We are also keen to showcase the quality of products and services available from local independents. When you deal with the exhibitors you'll be talking directly to the experts and the business owners for whom customer service really matters."

Visitors to the show will be able to experience live demonstrations from experts in their field. During the Taster Sessions held throughout the show, visitors can be guided through modern home technology, learn how their garden can be transformed into a dream landscape, and experience the latest in home decor. Visitors who pre-register will also get a special code that will entitle them to exclusive offers from all the exhibitors.

The show is being hosted by Deans Garden Centre who have donated the exhibition space to the worthy cause and this ensures that every £ raised will go directly to benefit York House - Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust.

Nicky Plowman, Service Director at York House added, “We are delighted that the Lord Mayor is supporting this exhibition and we hope that through this event, people will gain a better understanding of the work we do at York House and within the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust and raise as much money as we can for the charity”.
