PRLog - Jan. 25, 2013 - CHANDLER, Ariz. -- CHANDLER (AZ)—Brighton Publishing LLC is pleased to announce the signing of novelists Lee Walker and W.J. Walker for their latest collaboration “Almost Angels: Where Dreams Come True. Authors Lee Walker and W.J. Walker present a poignant look at the Blackfoot nation and the ongoing challenges they face. “Almost Angels: Where Dreams Come True” is scheduled for eBook release in mid-2013 and will be available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other leading retailers nationwide. The print version is currently slated for release in late-2013 and will be available through Ingram, the world’s largest book distributor.

Susan had never thought of herself as lucky, but at the moment, she certainly felt blessed. After giving up her Faith Scapes landscaping business and moving to Montana with her heroic husband, her sights are now set upon a new era in her life—one that she is most certainly looking forward to.

Susan and new husband, Hawk, a retired firefighter, are soon settled onto Susan’s inherited property in Western Montana. Nestled among the panoramic plains and picturesque mountains, lies the expansive Blackfoot Indian Reservation where Hawk’s brother, Dakota, and his wife, Petah, continue their ongoing work of helping to guide the local Blackfoot children.

Throughout the years, Dakota and Petah’s horse ranch had become home for dozens of troubled Blackfoot boys from the local reservations. Now, it would appear that Susan and Hawk might be considering a legacy of their own as they hope to create a foster home for the troubled Blackfoot girls.

With a rekindled spirit, Salish Ranch is born and Susan and Hawk must now re-focus their energies on a wholly new venture. Eventually, they will be drawn down a path laden with both potholes and loopholes as they struggle against adversity and the issues faced by these young Native American girls.

“Lee Walker and W.J. Walker present another epic tale of human adversity and endeavor among the great lands of western Montana,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC. “Almost Angels: Where Dreams Come True captures the subdued strength and essence of the Blackfoot people through interwoven events and credible dialogue.”
W.J. Walker, a registered nurse, and Lee Walker, a retired engineer, have been married forty-one years, since just after graduating high school. Successful in their respective fields and with their children grown, both are enjoying dedicating time to writing and other passions. W.J. is also the author of the highly-acclaimed Memories and A New Beginning. W.J. and Lee Walker have also co-authored Faith Scapes, published by Brighton Publishing, LLC. The authors currently reside in Michigan with their yellow lab, Lucy, and their tabby cat, Rusty.
