The competition ran from November 26, 2012 to January 4, 2013. Competitors were measured on a point system including most sales acquired, quality of new sales generated, number of extracurricular Organizational events attended, among others. In pursuit of the top prize, former soccer player Keith Bortnick hit the ground running from day one, making it clear to his peers he was here to compete.
When asked why spice up the holiday season with a little extra competition, President Chrysanthi Halkiotis commented with, "We do these types of competitions a few times a year. I particularly love them because they focus on all aspects of business that an Entry Level candidate receives in training throughout our Management Training Program. It's not just about who completes the most sales in the allotted time period, but rather who obtains the most growth and professional development. Of course there are measurable tasks assigned so the Managers can determine a winner, but my favorite part is watching each person evolve. From a coach or mentor's standpoint, it's very rewarding."
As the holiday weeks progressed, Representatives Danny Baatz and Ryan Brizzolara made a strong push to catch Keith, but in the end fell just shy of first place, taking home second and third place prizes respectfully. Congratulations to all winners!
