Activity at a RecruitMilitary Veteran Opportunity Expo
This event, a Hiring Our Heroes/RecruitMilitary Veteran Opportunity Expo, will be part of a nationwide initiative to increase the hiring of veterans and military spouses by producing special career fair hiring events. The U.S. Chamber launched the Hiring Our Heroes initiative in March 2011.
RecruitMilitary and the Chamber expect more than 50 employers, franchisors, educational institutions, and government agencies to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. Already signed up are Waste Management Inc., The Kroger Company, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), The Home Depot, Pyramid Consulting, C.R. England Inc., Prudential, First Command Financial Planning, Union Institute and University, Georgia College of Construction, Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Hewlett Packard, Strayer University, Reliance Trust Company, Air National Guard Recruiting, Sun Trust, Schlumberger, First Energy Services Inc., CVS, U.S. Security Associates Inc., New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Atlanta, Penske Truck Leasing, Trident University International, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Ryder System Inc., Lowe’s Companies Inc., The University of West Alabama, Pitney Bowes Inc., AutoNation, American Income Life Insurance Company, Millis Transfer Inc., The Art Institutes, Cummins Power South LLC, CSX Transportation, The GEO Group Inc., HSS Inc., Heavy Construction Academy, Limestone College, and Career Path Media Group Inc.
RecruitMilitary will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion (www.legion.org), an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.4 million members in nearly 14,000 posts throughout the world.

In November 2011, RecruitMilitary received the First Annual Lee Anderson Small Business Veteran and Military Spouse Employment Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (http://www.uschamber.com). In February 2012, RecruitMilitary received the first annual One More Way Award from The Sierra Group Foundation.
