Scream Guitars Helps American Cancer Society Reach Fundraising Goal

Jan. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Fort Myers, Florida – Three handmade, custom guitars created by Scream Guitars of Fort Myers brought in $9,000 during the 10th annual Cattle Barons’ Ball January 19.

One of the guitars – emblazed with the logo of the award-winning country band One Night Rodeo and carved with the words “After Beautiful,” the name of their new hit single – brought in $5,000 during the live auction. A guitar featuring the logo of wine purveyor Gruppo Mezzacorona earned $3,000 in the auction, and another bearing the Cattle Barons’ Ball 10th anniversary logo raised $1,000. Proceeds from the event will fund cancer research, education and services.

“We’re really grateful that these beautiful guitars are made right here in our community and that Scream Guitars generously partners with us to help fight cancer,” said Beth Hayes, staff partner for the Lee County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. “The guitars were a huge hit and we look forward to having more of them in next year’s event.”

Scream Guitars founder and President Kurt Kiehnle said creating unique guitars for charities is one of his favorite jobs. “I am part of a tremendous community that cares about its people and their needs,” he said. “It’s rewarding to provide a product that brings both success to the charity organizations and pleasure to the recipients who acquire the guitars.”
