PRLog - Jan. 25, 2013 - BASINGSTOKE, U.K. -- Radiocrafts designs and manufactures state of the art, cost effective compact RF modules. They are used in a variety of licence exempt, wireless short-range M2M applications allowing for industrial products to become wireless enabled. The products are based around the licence free ISM bands operating at 169 / 315 / 433 / 429 / 458 / 868 /915 & 2450MHz.
Radiocraft M2M modules offer a common form factor and pin compatibility between the product families allowing a common module footprint to be quickly integrated into a customer application. This allows easily adaptability to accommodate another frequency or technology module when required without a major board respin. All products are available with Radiocrafts proprietary RC232 protocol allowing a custom and easy to implement serial data-protocol. In addition the modules support various other industry standards.
Radiocrafts modules allow various communications techniques via both point to point and networking communications. Technologies include point to point transceiver modules offering up to 6km range in line of sight conditions or various networked devices utilising technologies such as KNX-RF, Tiny Mesh, Wireless M-Bus or ZigBee® / IEEE 802.15.4 protocol standards.
Founded in 2003, Radiocrafts boast many hundreds of designs in various Machine to Machine (M2M) applications including over a million units installed in wireless meter reading (AMR) applications and installations in asset tracking, smoke detectors, nurse call and petrol station display applications.
Lee Nye, Sales Manager of ACTE U.K comments “The addition of Radiocrafts into our product portfolio is an important step as we aim to broaden our product offering of high quality, high performance wireless M2M modules range to U.K Systems Integrators and OEM’s. The breadth of short range wireless technologies covered and common footprint amongst modules make Radiocrafts an ideal partner to work with.”
The signing of the Radiocrafts franchise distribution agreement with ACTE U.K builds on the back of the distribution agreements held by other ACTE in other territories in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland and Sweden.
