Learn To Play Chess For Beginners By Watching And Doing The Hands-On Interactives.

Jan. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- With iBooks® 2, Krishan Jhunjhnuwala, a FIDE chess master and author, has crafted “Multi-Touch Chess Kid Watch to Play”, a chess book designed to emulate the experience of playing chess. Instead of lengthy paragraphs, Multi-touch Chess engages readers with 51 hands-on interactives. These interactives aptly named “Show Me”, “Let’s Play”, and “You Try,” allow you to learn, play, and practice chess against a computer AI. Simply touch the iPad® screen to begin.

Krishan wanted to write a book that teaches children how to play chess in a language that is simple and easy. After some thought, he realized that the best way to learn chess is by playing. However, the ability to transfer the playing experience into a book has not been possible...until now.

Whereas other chess books discourage beginners with dense text, Multi-touch Chess is written with as few words as possible. In fact, the 10 main chapters of the book contain only 70 words.

This book is suitable for ages 3 years old and above with adult supervision. The benefits of chess for kids are increased improvements in academics (especially mathematics and science) and better concentration and logical thinking.

"Multi-Touch Chess Kid Watch to Play" was released on the iBookstore℠ on Dec. 3 and is available for download on the iPad® for $9.99.
