UK Version of How to Buy a House for $1 by Rick Otton in the works
Money Magazine coordinated with Dymocks, one of Australia’s leading booksellers to compile the list of top finance books in 2012. Other books considered for the list are about superannuation, global financial crisis, and taxation.
“The release of the “How To Buy A House For A Dollar,” book was complemented by a series of free seminars and several bootcamps to assist those who have read the book in exploring its concepts further,” Otton said.
According to Rick Otton, the book is intended to introduce alternative and more creative ways of buying and selling real estate to everyday Australians. “We are extremely delighted to have learned that the book has made the top finance titles list of Money Magazine. It’s an honor for us to see the book included in such a prestigious list,” explained Mr. Otton.
How To Buy A House For A Pound
Considering the current state of the UK property market, Otton says now is the right time to start working on the book’s UK version. The book will be called, “How to Buy a House for a Pound”.
“The two versions of the books have the same concepts but with different and more specified case studies real life transactions. The UK version includes real examples of successful transactions that happened in the country. Also, we have included additional breakthrough strategies that have been developed since the publication of the first edition,” Otton explained.
Similarly with the Australian version, Rick Otton explains in the book the reasons why it is possible to remove banks in every process of a property transaction. “I know that once people grasp this basic concept and start to think creatively and out of the box, they’ll be able to accept and implement the creative real estate strategies,”
Otton believes that many parts of the property system in many countries – including the UK – are outdated. It’s no longer ideal to seek bank financing as they have implemented much stricter loan requirements, which an average individual with poor credit history will not be able to meet.
“Traditional strategies obviously no longer work to benefit buyers and sellers and so we need to start considering alternatives – innovative and creative alternatives,”
Creative real estate strategies help aspiring homeowners buy their first homes, while simultaneously ensuring sellers have the option to sell their properties in the price they desire even in a challenging property market.
“It is truly gratifying for the Australian version of my book to be chosen by Dymocks and Money Magazine as one of the most popular finance titles in 2012. And I expect nothing less when “How To Buy A House For A Pound” is published,” Mr. Otton said.
