"So many of us are or have experienced some life-changing event," says Dr. Dixon, a minister with a Ph.D. in counseling who has advised families and couples for nearly four decades.  "I know so many people who need help, but don't know where to begin. I write from the perspective of someone who knows the pain - and have devoted my life to counseling people to overcome life's challenges."

Dixon, a native of the eastern Maryland Shore town of Cambridge, has traveled around the U.S. and the world preaching, teaching and lecturing. Since he was a teenager, he has been inspired to get into the ministry.  He is founder of the Miracle Revival Center Ministries Worldwide, Inc., based in in Bridgeton, NJ, just west of Ocean City and the Fairhaven Christian Ministries in Richmond, Va.  During his illustrious career, he has traveled to 39 states and eight countries spreading his spiritual message and opening schools of ministry.  

The father of five adult children and seven grandchildren has survived four heart attacks over the years so he understands how to deal with adversity. "I know all about personal, spiritual and emotional experiences," he says. "I'm working on my next book now - 'Life is Painful' - that talks about the painful sides of life many of us avoid talking about."
