The event was opened by Lesley Nash, CEO of Changeworknow who talked about the importance of recruiting people with the right values and how technology can play a significant part. With over twelve years’ experience of helping organisations with their recruitment technology strategies Lesley was able to share some useful tips for success.
Keri Jones, Resourcing Manager of ASK Italian talked first-hand about her experiences of recruiting against values. He concluded that common values create a shared interest, a fundamental condition if organisations are to deliver what they set out to do.
The morning finished on an emotional high note, as Jessica Mann of SVP of Comms and Public Affairs at Shire Pharmaceuticals showed how a bold company-wide initiative based on core values established a culture which truly differentiates the company in the eyes of their key external stakeholders. “By working with clever communications approaches, the Brave campaign enabled us to create a special identify for Shire by bringing the patient back into the business. We are all now truly focussed on enabling people with life-altering conditions to lead better lives” said Jessica.
