Teen Pop Sensation Kady Richards to Benefit St. Luke’s Children's Hospital and MSTI

Feb. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Boise, Idaho -- Kady Richards returns to Idaho to host her listening party that will benefit the St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI) Pediatrics at downtown Boise’s historic and most eco-friendly venue, The Linen Building, on Saturday, February 23, 2013.

St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI) has been providing pediatric cancer care since 1976, and in 1998, MSTI Pediatrics opened a dedicated space at St. Luke’s Boise for its patients. St. Luke's Children's Hospital and St. Luke's MSTI are partners in Idaho's only Pediatric Cancer Program, with the state’s only pediatric oncologists and a dedicated staff of skilled caregivers providing treatment and support in an environment designed to ease the discomforts of long-term cancer care.  

St. Luke’s MSTI cares for more than 200 new pediatric patients each year, from infants through young adults. The Pediatric Oncology team is committed to making treatment as comfortable and effective as possible, enabling parents to put their focus on caring for their child and helping him or her get better, and allowing the patient to just be a kid.  

The Linen Building serves as an excellent backdrop for the fundraiser being downtown Boise’s most eco-friendly venue. Built in 1910 and originally known as the American Laundry Building, the Linen Building has been transformed into an environmentally friendly special events center and art gallery. Refashioned for the 21st century with sustainability, historic preservation and modern elegance in mind, the two-story, urban loft-style Linen Building hosts art and fashion shows, music concerts and events, weddings and receptions, corporate meetings and functions, proms, and many other events.

Kady Richards has been energized and blazing a trail from Idaho to New York, performing and visiting our wounded warriors in Veterans’ hospitals across the country. This energy and passion is translated into her music and has been observed and noted by legendary long time music executives who had nothing but accolades upon their first encounter and experience with her and her music. Former Sony Music Entertainment Chairman and CEO and current co-owner of Casablanca Records said that "Kady has a beautiful voice and a very bright future ahead of her." Senior Vice President of A&R of Warner Brothers/Jive Records says "I love Kady's music, her voice and I think she's great!"

Kady Richards has been nominated for the 2013 Operation Homefront Military Child of the Year based on her outreach and volunteering efforts among other things.

Kady’s listening party will be free to attend, but all guests are encouraged to make a donation to St. Luke’s MSTI Pediatrics and support the children in our community.
